No-Fi Soul Rebellion, a funk-pop/rock experiment spearheaded by Mark Heimer (with wife Andrea and drummer Max Allyn), presents this five-track tidbit of groovy, melodic musique.  Though certainly different, this disc is by no means inaccessible; in fact, if you're up for trying something a bit out of the ordinary, this makes for a pretty safe pick.  Heimer creates energetic, bouncy compositions with a strong funk element and lots of joyful fun.  Known for a rowdy stage presence, they weave silly lyrics into unusual compositions posing comfortable grooves routinely interrupted by noisy moments of explosive rock release.  Opener "Ch*rch" is the clear highlight here, with its laidback funk surrounding a monster solo based on a famous classical piece (I won't give it away).  "Beautiful & Hard" and "" are more climactic, meanwhile,
