Memorial Graphics is a pop band from Sweden.  They are not unlike any other pop band, from America or Canada or wherever, but they're Swedish.  They even sing in English.  But they're Swedish.  And they're good.

The CDR of theirs that I received is a two-song EP, which is criminally short and yet tantalizing nonetheless.  Opener "Bliss (Tob Song)" is pure melodic pop with hooks that could land it a spot on radio playlists the world over.  The band spices things up by way of upbeat keyboards, and this really adds something to the mix, making the sound even more layered and fun.

"Sundays" is the second song, and it's a bit more downbeat in comparison to "Bliss."  The recording quality isn't perfect, and the vocals are a bit loud in comparison to the other instruments, but that isn't too much of a problem here.  The instrumentation is very tight and the songwriting is as infectious as can be.  The chorus is ludicrously catchy.  Ludicrous!!!

The five lads that make up Memorial Graphics have only released a handful of EPs, but I'm waiting anxiously until they come out with an album.  If they can create enough of these beautiful pop tunes to make up a full-length disc, there's no telling how successful they will be.
