Kid Commando / Kid606

"Div/orce Series #4" split 7"

Ache Records

Genre: noise rock / techno

 March 2007

the fourth release of ache records' "div/orce" series, this lovely slab features the work of two different but strangely similar kids. sweden's (now defunct) kid commando play messy experimental noise rock that fits the aids wolf et al prototype. noisy and decidedly challenging, but not at all atypical in this day and age. kid606's contribution, meanwhile, is a bit easier on the naive ear - he starts with a simple dub sample, lays on the beats, then takes the listener through his own world of masterful fun. the track's called "good times" for a reason. all in all, this split a lovely dose of goodness - but kid606's side is the definite highlight.
