A Is Jump's distinct indie rock style recalls Versus, Sparklehorse, and Pedro the Lion all together.  My Ice-Fingered Ghost is an effective collection of emotional, elegant pop songs that should appeal to fans of sensitive indie music.  With shows like The O.C. and Desperate Housewives currently using this genre's output for program soundtracks, I wouldn't be surprised to see some of these tracks arriving at a similar fate.  I do notice that most of the songs sound roughly the same, which may be a concern; as well, the melodies on this disc aren't all incredible - some songs could do with more hooks.  This doesn't stop tracks like "Invisible Arms" and "Wasted So Long" from reserving permanent spots in your memory, however.  While not quite perfect, this record has a joyful infectiousness that could earn it a spot in any slightly offbeat teenager's heart.
