Perhaps lots of people will like this cd.
The sound experimentations are intriguing, as the sources of the music are, in a
way, similar to Aube. In contrast, the music isn't as skillful and beautiful as
Aube's. Field recording and sound collage are the styles at play here. All the
pieces are pretty long, anywhere from 8 minutes to 20 minutes. "Radiotore", the
longest piece, at almost 20 minutes, is taken from the sound of, you guessed it, A
RADIATOR!! "Closet Bird", which I find slightly annoying, utilizes the
sound of a bird, or a number of birds, singing. You get the idea. It's all
about experimentation and found sounds. Of course, it isn't impossible to make this
type of music sound good. Ellen Band proves that it isn't impossible to make it
sound bad. Conceptual music is only good if it sounds good. Try again.
