AutoCad Demo CDR

(Self-Released - autocad.scriptmania.com)
[Genres: electronica, trip-hop]

This demo CD, consisting of three songs, is a surprisingly polished, professional sampler of AutoCad's work.  In case you are not aware, AutoCad is the work of one man, Thomas Park, who dedicates a large amount of time to creating music for films and compilations.  He has also recently released a collection of his non-compilation work, entitled "AutoCad in Total Retrospect."   Despite all his activity on the scene, AutoCad remains very scarcely-known.   Upon listening to these three songs, though, you can start to understand the basis for AutoCad's obscurity.  There is nothing particularily bad about these pieces, but they do not possess any great qualities either.  This demo is, quite simply, mediocre.  Although the piece "Blue Note" does manage to be a funky, Nightmares in Wax-style ditty, it does not possess any standout qualities.   The other two pieces are even less inspired.  Despite this demo's mediocrity, AutoCad shows lots of promise as a musician, especially on his mp3.com page.  Don't be surprised if, one day, he becomes a major staple on the scene.  As for now, though, leave this demo alone.
